As we make the transition over from winter to spring fashion (unless you live in South Florida like me), I figured bell sleeves would be the perfect topic for my first Breaking Trend Alert. This is something you can wear across the board for every season, you just have to make sure you're doing it the right way.
Something about wide sleeves to me takes a look from being basic and boring to high end and chic. The best part about them is how effortless it is, but how big of the difference it makes for the outfit.

Winter & Fall Look:
The key to bell sleeves for me during winter and fall is layering. Just taking the extra step to put something over the top or wanting to add that extra flair to boost an outfit is what does it for me. I bought this top below from Nordstrom Rack for only $25 and I'm obsessed.

Spring & Summer Look:
For spring and summer, you can still layer, but the simple warm colors and patterns alone are enough. Pairing this with overalls, denim shorts, boyfriend jeans, and skirts will be my go to. This also works well as a cover up like you see below. I actually bought this top from Etiquette Boutique, but then found it cheaper from Windsor below (this is why I can't stand overpriced boutiques because of the unnecessary markups).
