Just when I thought I wasn't going to Miami at all this week... I end up there on the last day.
At 22, I feel like I'm past the point of most music festivals, but find myself still wanting to enjoy MMW. So pool parties/hotel parties is the perfect place for me.
One of the absolute WORST things you can possibly do is dress inappropriately for these venues. Odds are, when you're halfway into the night and can barely stand, those 7 inch wedges and tiny bathing suit were probably not the best choice.
For Bathing Suits, you want something you will be comfortable in. You're going to be moving around and dancing, so make sure your bathing suit is secure, but also trendy. Think about it, most of these pool parties/events are covered, so if you wont be getting a serious tan, you might as well wear something trendy and cool.
For Coverups, the kimono is overdone, so be different. Sheer is in, so if you are wearing a bathing suit underneath anyways, might as well wear something sheer and trendy. This is your time to dress out of your comfort zone, not how you would going to the beach or pool on any weekend, so take advantage.
For Shoes, this is up to you, you know your limits. Personally, when I go to these events, I like to be comfortable because I know I'm going to be on my feet most of the day. This means the lower, the better. Platforms are always great because they lift you and look good, but are still tolerable.
